Weddings guidance
The United Church of Canada sees people as unique, loved creations of God and also see relationships as living things that require preparation and nurture.
Our community is broad and accepting. The United Church marries
• previously divorced people
• couples of different religion backgrounds
The United Church of Canada believes God intends loving relationships to be faithful, responsible, just, healing, and sustaining of the couple and those around them. These relationships may be between a woman and a man, or between people of the same gender
We are pleased to know, at Columbus Community United Church, that you are considering us for your place of marriage. We assure you that every effort will be made to make your wedding day an occasion that will long be remembered.
Columbus United Church has been chosen by over 40 couples a year for the past ten years as an ideal place to exchange their marriage vows. The rural setting, the physical structure; the ambiance and atmosphere of the sanctuary have all added to that special day for many couples.
People who love one another, but more importantly, love God, have found in Columbus United Church, a place where that love can be really celebrated.

An additional fee will be charged by the organist for this service. Rehearsal and financial arrangements should be made at least three weeks prior to the wedding.
